Hiking for health or walking for wellness is an idea where hikers and walkers come together in a natural environment to learn about themselves.
The coined idea of presence for purpose on earth is often neglected during the course of spiritual and emotion healing.
Connoisseur’s choice presents “Hiking for health” programme aiming to provide curated hikes or walks with a specific focus on spiritual and emotional healing.
The Covid -19 pandemic has caused a lot of spiritual and emotional trauma for many people, who don’t have a support system or anyone to help them to overcome these current issues.
Hiking for health aims to provide a sensitive and natural environment to help those afflicted with any kind of discomfort and trauma , deal with their issues through curated hikes, whilst being accompanied by a spiritual guide or a Life coach.
“The lessons from nature” series will be presented on these hikes. These series focus on how to incorporate natural lessons into our daily life.
“Loving yourself” is also a series of talks targeted at people who have lost their focus and need to realign themselves.
“Presence and Purpose” aims to focus on the greater being and the bigger picture and human contribution towards a path of Enlightenment.
“Reflections” aims to force the individual to learn from past mistakes.
Through these Open-Air classes and guided hikes, people will learn about how to deal with stress and trauma and thus helping them to improve their quality of life.

What should I wear?
- Comfortable clothing (no jeans)
- Sneakers or running shoes
- Sun hat and sunblock
What should I bring with?
- Day pack
- Water (at least 2L per person)
- Snacks (salty and sweet)

How will the weather affect us?
Cape Town weather can be unpredictable so be prepared. The weather can also change rapidly on the mountain. Most routes are fine to do in any weather, but we will have to make a decision on the more adventurous routes.
